Affiliation
The PLGrid infrastructure enables research based on simulation and computation using clusters and distributed computing resources. It provides users with the opportunity to take advantage of the computing power of the fastest supercomputers in Europe and to increase the scale of computing performed as part of scientific research many times over. The access is free of charge for scientists and research assistants employed at Polish research centers. PhD students, undergraduates and external collaborators can also benefit from PLGrid services.
- Each affiliation is granted for a specified time period. Before its expiration date, you need to apply for its renewal.
- Regardless of the type of affiliation, you are only authorized to use the PLGrid infrastructure for conducting or supporting research at the institution specified in your affiliation.
- PLGrid grants applications may be submitted individually by persons with the following types of affiliation: Academic unit employee, Scientific institution employee, PhD student.
- You can have only one PLGrid user account; if you have lost access to it, please contact our Helpdesk. If your personal details change, you can edit them in your profile
Affiliation verification
New affiliation of the type Academic unit employee, Scientific institution employee, Industry and Public administration officer require you to validate the e-mail address assigned to it. Until then, it has the status Awaiting e-mail verification. A message with a link to confirm the affiliation is then sent to the e-mail address provided. The link is active for 48 hours. Unconfirmed affiliations may be deleted.
Academic unit employee and Scientific institution employee affiliations require additional verification by a HPC center employee. At this stage, your affiliation has status In verification.
Industry and Public administration officer affiliations may additionally require approval by a representative of the respective organization. At this stage, your affiliation has status In verification.
A new affiliation of the type Subordinate, including PhD Student and External Collaborator, requires approval by your supervisor at PLGrid. Until then, it has the status Awaiting verification by supervisor. A message with a link to confirm the subordinate's affiliation is sent to the supervisor's e-mail address. Unconfirmed affiliations may be deleted.
HPC center employee affiliations may also require verification by another HPC center employee. At this stage, affiliation has status In verification.
