PLGrid PLGrid Documentation

Account and profile

A PLGrid user Account is essential for gaining access to the computing infrastructure. It enables the use of supercomputing resources (e.g., Ares, Athena, Helios, Lem, Lumi, Tryton Plus) and mass storage systems (e.g., Object Storage). Having an active account is the first step before applying for a Grant and before commencing computations via the SLURM queuing system.

Key account management principles

  • Uniqueness: Every user may only possess a single PLGrid Account.
  • Requirements: Access is free of charge for research staff, PhD students, students, and collaborators involved in research conducted at Polish universities or scientific units. The full process related to entitlements is described in the Affiliation section.
  • Data Editing: All changes to personal data, contact information, or Affiliation details are managed directly within the PLGrid Portal, in your Profile.
  • Access Loss: In the event of login issues or loss of account access, the user must immediately contact Helpdesk.
