Choose your affiliation type
PLGrid resources can be used by all persons conducting research in Polish research centres, including foreigners, students, PhD students and other persons assisting in the research. Verification of affiliation or collaboration with a particular research unit is carried out through affiliation – connection a PLGrid user to the university.
Warning
- All affiliations are granted for a limited period of time. Before the expiry date of your affiliation, you should request its extension.
- In each case, you are only allowed to use the PLGrid infrastructure to conduct or support research at the unit specified in the affiliation.
Academic unit employee
Apply for this affiliation if you hold a doctoral degree or higher and are currently an employee of a Polish academic unit (scientific, teaching, technical or supporting). The affiliation is granted for a period of two years, after which it can be extended. It is each time approved by the PLGrid Operator.

This type of affiliation can only be requested by a person holding a record in the RADON (https://radon.nauka.gov.pl/) database.

This type of affiliation is not intended for PhD students and other individuals without a doctoral degree.
Scientific institution employee
Apply for this affiliation if you hold a doctoral degree or higher and are currently an employee of a Polish scientific unit (e.g. National Research Institute). The affiliation is granted for a period of two years, after which it can be extended. It is each time approved by the PLGrid Operator.

This type of affiliation can only be requested by a person holding a record in the RADON (https://radon.nauka.gov.pl/) database.

Subordinate
Apply for this affiliation type if you are a student and you need PLGrid resources for your research, for your master's thesis or student project, or if you are conducting research in collaboration with a Polish scientific or research unit, but you are not employed by the unit or do not hold a PhD degree. Choose this type of affiliation also in case you are a retired employee of a Polish unit and continue your scientific cooperation with this unit. The affiliation is granted for a period of six months, after that it can be extended. It is approved each time by your scientific Supervisor in PLGrid.

To indicate your Supervisor in PLGrid, always provide his/her official e-mail address in the employment unit.
PhD student
Apply for a PhD affiliation if you are a 3rd level student at one of the Polish Doctoral Schools and require PLGrid resources for research related to your dissertation. The affiliation is granted for a period of six months, after that it can be extended. It is approved each time by your scientific Supervisor in PLGrid.

To indicate your Supervisor in PLGrid, always provide his/her official e-mail address in the employment unit.
HPC center employee
Apply for this type of affiliation if you are employed at one of the Polish HPC centers. You are only allowed to use the PLGrid infrastructure to carry out tasks, projects and works related to this employment. The affiliation is granted for one year and is approved by a representative of the respective HPC center.
External collaborator
Apply for this affiliation type if you are a researcher employed at a foreign academic or research centre and conduct research in collaboration with a Polish academic or scientific unit, but you are not employed in this unit. Please indicate your unit of employment abroad when choosing this type of affiliation. The affiliation is granted for a period of six months, after that it can be extended. It is approved each time by your polish scientific Supervisor in PLGrid.
